Popcorn born 2-2-06 of Mabel & Urban

Everything is great.  We took Popcorn for a walk on his leash and harness today.  That was so funny to see.
We have made great progress with holding him too.  He screams just till he's settled and then enjoys being held.
Hope your Easter was great.  Popcorn wore Eyeore ears and looked adorable.

Annabel Lee (black & white) born 3-31-06 of Penelope & Urban & her new buddy Bacon!

Thu, Nov 02, 2006 They are happy piggies, that's for sure. Annie has settled back down and is coming to me again. They hear my car pulling up after work and they go hog wild waiting for me to come in and give them loving and treats. The new arrangement is working out very well. Annie picked up on using the dog door in one day and also to potty outside. I am so happy with my little girl, thanks again!

Bigsby born 10-10-06 of Penelope & Urban.

Hi Sandy I just wanted to tell you how well Bigsby is doing. Yesterday he had his first bath. He didn't enjoy it quite as much as I thought he would. After the bath I picked him up in a towel and sat down on the toilet seat he did not squeal at all and let me clean his ears out. He sat on my lap for at least 10 minutes without squealing, i was very proud of him. I have noticed when i rub or scratch him his skin is pretty dry and flakes off like dandruff. Is there some type of lotion that i could use formulated specially for pigs or do you recommend using anything at all. We took him outside for his first time on Tuesday, he loved it, he was fine with the leash and figured out really quick that he could only get so far away from me. Today he actually followed where i wanted him to go. He is such a sweet animal and is getting along very well. Thanks again and i am also trying to send some pictures of him.

Daisy born 10-10-06 of Penelope & Urban.

Sandy,
I think I we must have received the best little girl in the world!   She is doing so good and she has come to love the dogs and the donkeys very well.  We all have bonded with her very fast..  I can't believe how smart and fast they learn.  I am thinking she has kisses down already.  We are still working on the harness part but when she wants to go outside she will jump into her crate.  She does not potty in the house at all!   I think she is going to fit in his house hold just fine.  We ended up naming her Daisy.
Thank you again,
Donna

Gurdy (with Ethan) born 4-7-07 of Penelope & Urban.

June 5, 2007
Sandy,
Gurdy is such a good little pig. I just love her. She cuddles with me. We haven't had any accidents. The poop thing worked like you suggested. She is using the pee pads great. She is using her pet taxi for her safe house. She talks to us alot when we talk to her. Jake is already talking about her name on his passenger door. If that happens then I may have to call you to get myself another one that will be mine. Kids not sure what to think. She stepped in her poop so I was washing her feet so she was squealing alot and the kids didn't know what to think of that. She calmed down fairly quick after I finished cleaning her feet. How in the world do you give her a bath if she hates her feet washed???? I can see I am going to have alot of fun with her already. I took a grape and cut it in quartes and she loved it. That was her treat for using the pee pad. I bought lite peaches in a can and cut a half of a slice into pieces and she tried that too. She is so funny cause she kept scooting her feed bowl towards me to give her more. Her little tail goes a hundred miles an hour when you sit and talk to her. Thank you so much for my lil gurdy.    Denise

Herbie born 4-7-07 of Penelope & Urban.

June 8, 2007
Sandy,
Hello, things are going great & so far the name Herbie has stuck.  He's doing wonderful, never has had an accident in the house & no litter box!   I'm home enough & come home between jobs to let him out, he sleeps either in his kennel or on the couch while I'm gone.  On hot days we leave him in his pen with his pool if I'm gone more than a couple of hours.  He really has adjusted well & I'm amazed at how smart he is (about potty training)  Herbie went to his first softball game last night & was a big hit!  He slept with my son on the couch one night & with me another...too funny he scoots himself right in front of your face then starts grunting his way of letting you know that I got to go potty!  He walks, runs on his leash just fine, he loves going for walks.  And my husband thinks the world the of him, he hasn't been able to spend much time with him because working a lot lately, but he says Herbie ranks right up there with the Male Newfoundland.  The first night Herbie was here, he was like your gonna let a pig sleep in the house??? In a kennel???  Second night he comes home tells the kids to quit playing with Herbie, picks him up & starts rocking him in the chair...LOL  By the third night, Herbie now has a place on the couch when he goes to sleep at night with his stuffed bunny.  I will send pics when I have time to download.
Take care,
Renee
Paddy (4-7-07) napping in mom's favorite chair!

Hello!  Yeah...we made it home!!  As you can see we've acclimated ourselves rather well for the first day.  We've said hi to our brother and two sisters, ate well and then climbed into dad's lap for a rest before we headed outside to go potty.  Once we rested and went potty dad even held out the harness and Paddy just walked right into it. Dad walked Paddy around the playpen and she didn't even fight him!! WOW!!!  She did fabulous for her first day home!  Timmy has her sleeping next to him on the couch right now while we snack on pizza.  Long day for us too..my turn for the shower and then I'll wrestle my way onto an available spot on the couch.  Paddy's been awesome..she's done so very well in just 24 hours.  THANK YOU so much for having us over yesterday afternoon...we had a great time!!  Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!  Talk to you tomorrow..thanks for everything!!! Michele

Mulan born 4-7-07 of Penelope & Urban.

June 21, 2007
Sandy:
Did I send you a photo of your little princess, Mulan?  Here she is the first time she was in the house and she just took over the piggy pillow.  She and Little Stevie and fast and true friends.  Stevie shows her the ways of the farm. BTW, how much to you feed Humphey and can you get a weight on him for me?  I'm taking a survey of this litter to see what each pig is weighing and how much food they get per day, so please be accurate on the weight.

Thanks.
